Underwriter & Claims Handler

Do you have experience in short-term insurance underwriting and claims handling? Are you detail-driven, client-focused, and able to perform under pressure? This could be your next career move.

What you’ll do:

✅ Handle underwriting and claims administration

✅ Support general office administration and marketing activities

✅ Deal with client enquiries and help improve service standards

✅ Work across insurer systems with accuracy and technical confidence

What we’re looking for:

✔️ Grade 12 / Std. 10

✔️ NQF Level 4 in short-term insurance & RE, (or studying towards)

✔️ Minimum 2 years’ experience in Personal Lines and Commercial insurance

✔️ Strong underwriting and claims administration knowledge

✔️ Product knowledge in short-term insurance

✔️ Experience on insurers’ systems

✔️ Bilingual in English and Afrikaans

✔️ Excellent admin, communication and computer skills

✔️ Good negotiation, planning and time management skills

✔️ Able to work under pressure with limited supervision

✔️ Valid driver’s license

✔️ Continued FAIS accreditation and regulatory exams required
