Essential Functions

New Business Development and Marketing

  • Develops leads and referrals from current clients and outside contacts / follow up with provider leads
  • We follow a hunting and farming approach to sales (prospect, convert and cross sell)
  • Offer value-added products and services
  • Participate in sales meetings with prospective clients and colleagues
  • You will prepare a detailed needs analysis for every client, individual and/or business as well as recommended advice and document professional proposals in person, or by written commentaries/white papers

Client Service

  • Extensive communication with clients and their advisors
  • Ability to discuss investment performance, economic and market trends
  • Presentations to clients on financial and tax planning options and opportunities
  • Direct consultation with attorneys, accountants and other advisors on financial, tax and estate planning
  • Client meeting planning, facilitation and presentation.
  • Develop and/or deliver private wealth education sessions to clients and staff.

Financial Planning

  • Develop a knowledge of the client’s entire financial and family situation and be able to structure a goals-based investment and financial plan observing both the protection of wealth and creation of wealth principles, as well as the protection of the client during the Financial Wellness journey
  • Follow best practice Financial Panning Houseview in relation to financial planning processes
  • Ability to discuss and advise on estate planning, retirement planning, investment planning, tax planning, cash-flow management and work with internal and external resources to meet planning goals of the client.
  • Provide recommendations to individuals and family trusts and or foundations enabling them to fulfill their goals related to mission/impact investing, mitigation and protection of risk.

We have the following roles for newcomers who meet our criteria and /or experienced advisers:

1.    Life and Investment Financial advisers

We are on the lookout for both independent and tied life and investment advisers to join our dynamic team. To be considered you need, at the least, a 2-year successful track record as a financial adviser.

2.    Short-term Financial advisers

To join this team of dynamic advisers, you need at least 2 years of a successful track record as a Short-term adviser.

3.    Health Care Financial adviser

Candidates who will be considered for this position, must be fully licensed with at least 5 years’ experience in the sales of medical aid, gap cover, medical insurance and rewards programmes.

Knowledge

Minimum Qualifications;

  • As a new to industry candidate you have your grade 12 with a post matric qualification or appropriate degree
  • Our ideal candidate is a finance/commerce/marketing graduate or has a related qualification/s.  If you are not an experienced industry professional yet, we will develop you into a seasoned and accredited financial adviser with a deep understanding of sophisticated financial planning skills and practices.
  • As an existing advisor you are fully accredited;
    • With a Wealth Management qualification, degree or equivalent in a related field (Investments, Finance, Law, Accounting/Tax, Economics, Business Administration) and/or 3 years of related experience;
    • At least one NQF Wealth Management, CFP, CPA, CFA or CIMA certification; extensive knowledge of certifications not earned or an equivalent combination of other education and experience only but your industry recognition is unquestionable.

Short term Personal Lines Underwriter position available at a short term brokerage in the Milnerton area.

The minimum experience being 2 years and with the following minimum requirements:
